Numerical Simulation and Deformation Behavior of a Ti/Steel Clad Plate during the Rolling Process

The deformation mechanism is complex in the hot rolling process of clad plates, and head bending a common defect. In this paper, an analytical computational mechanical model metal plate was established by classical elastic mechanics method, relationship between uneven thickness extension warpage obtained. bonding dissimilar bimetallic plates Ti/Steel investigated. On basis, origins defects influence various factors on evolution were revealed. results indicated that forces increased with increase reduction ratio ratio. As total ratios increased, each layer increased. Furthermore, it found steel larger than those Ti at certain ratio, which could reach up to 59.6%. When 0.4 0.45, degree upper lower increasing gradually. maximum 0.349 m. shape better when roll speed 1.02 rate 0.4. present numerical provide valuable insight into behaviors mechanisms involved plates.
